Southeastern New Mexico Economic Development District

Stronger Economies Together (SET)

The Southeastern New Mexico Economic Development District (SNMEDD) and the Eastern Plains Council of Governments (EPCOG) jointly applied and were designated a USDA Stronger Economies Together (SET) Region.

The SENM SET Core and Regional Planning Teams met from March 2017 through March 2018 for the purpose of developing a regional economic plan for the rural counties of Chaves, Eddy, Lea, Curry and Roosevelt Counties.  In late March 2018, the SENM SET Region Plan was submitted for review by the USDA SET National Review Committee.  In early June 2018, the SENM SET Region Plan received the designation of a High Quality Plan.
